My Story
11 years ago, my best friend of 30+ years excitedly invited me to come for a visit to her place in Vegreville, Alberta. She said she had something amazing to show me. We sat at her kitchen table and I smelled all of her testers. I loved so many of them and I was intrigued… I used to say I was a candle person; however, in fact I collected pretty looking candles, but I would never burn them! They were dangerous, I hated the smell of the wicks, and they never gave off a nice smell. They were always disappointing and a huge waste of money. I went ahead and placed a large order from her, which was pretty much one of everything Scentsy had to offer! It was like Christmas when I received my order. I plugged in one of my warmers and started warming a cube…in about 15 minutes, the house started smelling amazing! All of the products smelled awesome! I loved everything I bought…and I WAS HOOKED! Within months of checking out all my goodies, she asked me if I would like to join her team. I didn’t know a thing about running my own business. I told her it probably would not work and I wouldn’t sell much - I was certainly not a salesperson, and I did not want to do any kind of parties that’s for sure. But I figured I should give it a try, so I joined. After all, it was only $119 to join, and I received Scentsy products and tools to start my business. I soon found out that because of my love for Scentsy, I was telling everyone about it, and people were buying! I started making samples and giving them away to introduce people to this new, safe addiction! A few years ago, I started doing parties! Imagine that! It was definitely a learning curve, but it’s been a blast! I also find it very soothing when I’m making samples or organizing my Scentsy. As time goes on, more and more resources are becoming available. With the technology nowadays, there are so many tools for building our business and networking! It’s truly amazing! The Scentsy family works together and we are there for each other. It is very true when people say that you get out of your business what you put in. You can be as busy as you want, or easily maintain the minimal requirement to stay active as a Scentsy Consultant. It’s a great way to earn some extra money, have the possibility of free trips, and even working at it full time as your main source of income. It’s totally up to you.
